Observations (in the raw)
Our Hawai'i vacation ended yesterday, so it's back to work today. Quite reluctantly, I might add. Hawai'i is such a different mindset, that it makes it so hard to return to the everyday. And the contrast of island life to desert life is enormous. Of course, everytime we go to Hawai'i it is difficult to return. I honestly think I could live there. And the way I perceive things is different, at least for a while. That perception creeps into my work. Not a bad thing at all.
Pat Greenwell is an artist. A painter and sometimes poet, he has been searching the New Mexico desert for a couple of years now, looking for lost possibilities and probable intentions.
